The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
Mr. J. Costello replaced C. Owens on Dontdooddson (FR), trained by Darren Collins (Race 6)(unwell).384A Aqua Process Solutions 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident just before the second last involving Elman, ridden by R.P. Treacy, fell, and Kilmeaden, ridden by J.J. Slevin, brought down, where it appeared that contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Treacy stated that his mount wandered when he got tired and he tried to keep him straight. J.J. Slevin stated that he switched to the inside and ran short of room when Elman became tired. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
T. Power Roche, rider of Padre Bay (GB), trained by Thomas Cleary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped very green.
384B Signsplus M'dn H'dleS.W. Flanagan, rider of Starting Fifteen (GB), trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that down the back straight his mount switched out and caught a heel. Having reviewed the recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
384C Defender Novice H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference jumping the last and before the line involving County Final, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed second, Kazansky, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.W. Flanagan stated that his mount was intimidated by Kazansky after jumping the last and again around eighty yards from the line. D.J Gilligan stated that he received interference when County Final came into him and made contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
S.W. Flanagan, rider of County Final, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from the left going down the straight.
D.J Gilligan, rider of Kazansky, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump at the last hurdle.
384E O'Kelly Brothers Rated Novice S'chaseMichael Kenneally, rider of Ad Caelum, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground.
384F BRC McMahon Reinforcements H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dream In The Park, trained by E. McNamara, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed on examination but to be otherwise post race normal.
E. Walsh, rider of Little Mixup, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms Gillian Ryan the Authorised Representative of John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Mount Frisco, regarding the fact that the jockey appeared to have mounted and left the parade ring before the signal was given. Evidence was heard from Ms Gillian Ryan who stated that Mount Frisco was behaving unruly and when horses congested in front of her made the choice to leave the ring early. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given on this occasion.
384G Play perysbingo.com (M) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr. Paul Harrison the Authorised Representative of Peter Fahey, trainer, for failing to nominate a rider within the required timeframe in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 3. Evidence was heard from Mr Paul Harrison who stated that he was uncertain that Miss J. Townend was available to take the ride until after the deadline had passed. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards reminded Mr Peter Fahey through his representative of his obligations in relation to Regulation 3.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the top of the straight involving Jury Time, ridden by Mr D. Doyle, placed third, Never Late, ridden by Mr A.D. Bustin, placed first, and Walking Saint (GB), ridden by Mr B.T. Stone, placed fifth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr D. Doyle stated that he received a bump from Never Late on the hind quarters and that there was only room for half a horse in the gap that Mr A.D. Bustin went for. Mr A.D. Bustin stated that he felt that the gap was there and had the horse to go for it. Mr B.T. Stone stated that he received no contact and maintained a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr A.D. Bustin was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the bend into the back straight involving Lady Hotham (GB), ridden by Mr R.M. McParland, where it appeared the rider had to take a check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
